What to Expect

When you order a content analysis & evaluation, you receive a report covering 15 essential elements of your article or blog post: title, subtitles, structure, readability, authority, authorship, internal links, external links, anchor-texts, URL (slugs), call-to-action, title tag and meta description, page speed, mobile-first approach and audiovisual elements.

In case you aren’t familiar with some of the terms above, you can learn their definitions and importance in this article.

The report also includes an overall evaluation of your article or blog post, covering its alignment with your goal, market, and target audience. You will learn if your piece is following the best practices of content marketing. When relevant, you will also receive improvement suggestions.

For each element, a series of questions will be considered and answered. You can check them below but be aware this list isn’t exhaustive. Other points might be considered depending on your article, goals, and target audience.

Title (Heading, Headline, H1)

  • Is it aligned with the search intent?
  • Is it exciting and grabbing attention?
  • Does it convey a sense of urgency?
  • Is it making a promise?
  • Is it straightforward and easy to understand?
  • Does it use actionable and/or emotional words?
  • Does it address the target audience?

  • Is the keyword present?

Subtitles (Subheadings, H2)

  • Are there enough subheadings?
  • Do some of them contain the keyword?
  • Are they helpful?
  • Are they aligned with the search intent?
  • Are they exciting and grabbing attention?
  • Do they create a scannable structure?
  • Are they straightforward and easy to understand?
  • Do they address the target audience?
  • Are their lengths adequate?
  • Do they use actionable and/or emotional words?
  • Do they address the target audience?
  • Are they aligned with the content of the article?

Structure

  • Is this the best structure for the article?
  • Is the structure consistent?
  • Is there a clear introduction and conclusion?
  • Are the introduction and conclusion adding value and engaging the reader?
  • Does the article have a table of contents? Does it need one?
  • Does the structure make the article easy to scan?
  • Are there enough subheadings? Are they helpful?
  • Could some paragraphs be turned into bullet points?
  • Is the order of the ideas correct?
  • Does the text flow nicely?
  • Is the keyword placed in the right places?

Readability

  • Is the article readability aligned with the expectations of the target audience?
  • Does it need more empty spaces?
  • Is the length of paragraphs and sentences adequate?
  • Could some text be turned into boxes, bullet points or highlighted?
  • Is the word count appropriated?
  • Does the article have been edited and proofread?

    Authority

    • Does the author write from a place of authority?

    • Are the arguments based on facts, first-hand experience, or other reliable sources?

    • Is there a photo and bio of the author of the article?
    • Do they inspire trust?
    • Do they establish credibility?
    • Is the author bio related to the content?
    • Does the photo have good quality?
    • Does the author have relevant credentials?

    Internal links

    • Are there enough internal links?
    • Are they helpful?
    • Do they add value?
    • Do they demonstrate authority?
    • Do they look natural?
    • Are they relevant?
    • Are they working?

      External links

      • Are all expected external links included?
      • Do they add value?
      • Are they helpful?
      • Do they support authority?
      • Do they look natural?

      Anchor-texts

      • Are they optimised for search engines?
      • Do they include the keyword?
      • Do they include the keyword too often?
